Assistant Director for Government & Community Relations
Devan serves as an adviser to the President, Vice President of Communications and other members of University senior leadership in the areas of government relations and local community relations with public/government officials while promoting the University’s mission. In addition to serving as the liaison for the University to elected officials in the North Texas area, Devan evaluates pending legislation, prepares briefing materials for senior leadership, serves on committees and work groups as needed, and performs special projects as it relates to promoting and improving community and government relations for the University.

Cynthia Carter received her bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University and her master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University. Cynthia has worked in education for seventeen years, first, as an English teacher in Mansfield ISD, then as a counselor in Arlington ISD. She is responsible for the creation of the College & Career Center at Sam Houston High School and maintains the college & career program at the school.

As the Library Service Manager for College and Careers at the Arlington Public Library, Stacy’s focus is to provide citizens with the resources and tools to take that next big step in their lives, whether it is going to college, getting a better paying job or starting a non-profit or their own business. Stacy believes that education is a vital component of making your dreams come true and as a librarian has dedicated her career to connecting people with resources to help them achieve their goals. As an Army brat, she grew up in Germany and Arizona. Stacy graduated with a Masters in Library Science from the University of Arizona and has experience working as a librarian and researcher in schools, corporate America and public libraries.

Regional Advisor for the Office of Admissions
Chris Hilario is a Regional Advisor of Admissions for Texas A&M University in the DFW area. Originally from Louisiana, he is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Biology. Directly after graduation, Chris moved to Arlington to become a college planning counselor for two years, where his passion for higher education originated. Chris strongly believes in higher education and that every student should have the opportunity to achieve their goal of obtaining a degree and is excited to be a part of inspirED to help reach out to students and their families in the Arlington community!

Eric has a true passion for people and loves seeing them reach their full potential. His responsibilities as a Specialist are to communicate, plan activities and coordinate training efforts with the Administration, Counselors, Teachers, Parents and Community, engaging them in the educational process to prevent drop-outs, increase postsecondary readiness and help students plan for their future.
GO Center Mentor
Hugo graduated from Sam Houston High School in 2013 and is currently enrolled at Tarrant County College with plans to graduate in December of 2015 with an Associate of Arts. He plans to transfer to the University of Texas at Arlington in the Spring of 2016 and major in Sports Management. Hugo attributes Margaret Oaikena as a major help towards his educational goals and realized he had an opportunity to do the same as a GO Center mentor that he couldn’t pass up.

Working as the Manger of Education at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Glenn collaborates and partners with ISDs, higher education institutions and other community partners to promote and support college and career readiness initiatives. By supporting collaborations between business, education and community partners, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce is able to increase college and career readiness and grow the future workforce while preparing students for success in college, career and community leadership.
Glenn is a graduate of UT Arlington with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Glenn believes the old adage, it takes a village to raise a child, could not be truer than it is today and that it takes us all working together to ensure all students are successful!

LaToya is Vice President, Community Development for United Way of Tarrant County. Ms. Stewart leverages over 10 years of experience in strategic planning, nonprofit, and grant-making to facilitate positive change in educational outcomes in the community through partnerships and special projects. In this role, she also provides oversight of the organization’s overall fund distribution process. Ms. Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Masters of Public Health from University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband, Lee, and son, Levi.

As the Business Development Officer for Southwest Bank, Letatia has the privilege of being a strong advocate for businesses in North Texas. Her favorite part of her job is putting the right people together to help companies and communities grow and thrive. Letatia works with industries as diverse as Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Real Estate and many small businesses. In addition to the many strong relationships she’s developed throughout her Banking and Marketing career, Letatia is also highly active in CREW Fort Worth, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Mansfield Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Mansfield.
