For over 16 years, we have provided free presentations and workshops to schools and community organizations throughout North Texas reaching tens of thousands of students and families. This has been our longest running service to date!
We currently offer two main presentations. Our inspirED College Prep presentation is designed to encourage students and families to be college ready and to provide detailed guidance on such things as admissions, testing, scholarships and the intricacies of applying for financial aid. Our inspirED FAFSA Prep presentation and workshop were created to assist students and parents with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
inspirED collaborates with Arlington Independent School District and Mansfield Independent School district to host, Destination Success – a free, half-day college planning event for junior high and high school students and their families.
This annual event is held in Arlington in the fall and Mansfield in the spring. Destination Success provides sessions on preparing for college, understanding college costs and financial aid, application completion assistance, financial literacy, SAT/ACT prep, scholarship assistance, a college fair, a community services fair and much more!
GO Centers are college-and-career-focused sites located within schools and community organizations that help create and promote a college-going culture. inspirED administers eleven GO Centers throughout Tarrant County. Ten of our centers are located at high schools in Arlington, Mansfield, Kennedale, Grand Prairie and HEB. We also have a community-based center located at the Arlington Public Library.
Students at all grade levels can learn about careers and college preparation from trained inspirED mentors.
