Director of Community Affairs
Chris joined HESC as the Director of Community Affairs in August 2013. He is responsible for coordinating and implementing strategies to effectively promote community awareness regarding our mission and successfully broaden presence and impact in the North Texas region. Prior to joining HESC, Chris worked for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) where he was instrumental in supporting the state’s Closing the Gaps by 2015 higher education strategic plan. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & History.
Angela has previously worked for the University of North Texas, Tarrant County College, and Texas Tech University. Her main goal in all of her previous positions was to help students reach their potential and obtain a higher education. As the outreach coordinator, Angela’s primary work is dedicated to hiring and training GO Center mentors to help high school students complete college applications, search for scholarships, and apply for financial aid. Angela received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University and her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.
